The newest and most ambitious education project is our own kindergarden.
Furaha and Aisha, our two former children, are now grown. Furaha is and Aisha is training to become a Montessori school teacher. Since January of this year, with the help of Miriam, a Montessori primary school teacher from Zimbabwe, Furaha has been running our kindergarden, which is in the development stages and is still temporarily being held in our house for young children. On our new plot, less than ten minutes away on foot, we have already laid the foundations for our own kindergarden.
Now that we have exhausted our finances (as of April 2015), we have to wait until new financial donations are available.
Our kindergarden is primarily for our own children. Having said this, we deliberately created an overcapacity with our new building, so that in the next stage the maintenance and running of an additional day care facility or intake of other children can be secured.
This capacity building approach is promising, and we are of course glad to be able to give our younger generation jobs and new prospects through this project.
Because we want to approach the international Montessori community to encourage them to support us, we have created our own website for the kindergarden.
